Marketing and Administrative Assistant

Monday – Friday (occasional weekend day)

9:30am-5:30pm (40 hours a week)

Pay: $14/hour

SUMMARY: This position is on-site. Applicants should have 40 hours of weekly availability and a minimum of basic office and customer service skills, proven social media skills, a working knowledge of creating graphics for online use, and the ability to quickly understand software to update our website and send email blasts.


Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Service and Administrative

  • Front desk, walk-in customer service

  • First-line contact for phone customer service and ticket sales

  • Perform clerical and office tasks as issued by Managing Director or Marketing Director

Execute social media as directed

  • Schedule and monitor social media advertising and promotional plans and create content to execute

  • Engage with Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram followers organically through updated content generation

  • Other social media activities as directed

Website and Email management

  • Update website content, links, listings, images, etc.

  • Utilize Constant Contact to promote marketing directed emails


  • Assist Marketing Director with event promotions, marketing, and press relations

  • Coordinate playbill print schedule and materials, create the document including basic graphics in collaboration with the Marketing Director

  • Oversee the distribution of marketing materials as assigned: e.g. posters to local areas and targeted communities and ensure they’re changed out regularly

  • Assist with the implementation, design and updating of the Optisign program



  • Minimum Associates Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Strong personal social media expertise (business social media experience a plus)

  • Excellent computer skills with internet savviness and software expertise in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or similar software, and Adobe InDesign highly desirable

  • Self-starter and able to work independently

  • Strong copywriting/editing skills

  • Strong social skills for engaging digital followers, volunteers, customers, and patrons
