Reel Fun Films Rocky Horror Picture Show

Friday, October 29, 2021 at 9:00 pm

Join us for the interactive viewing of this 1975 sci-fi/horror musical gender-bending rock opera featuring The Rich Weirdos shadow cast. Break out your fishnet stockings, stilettos, and red lipstick. Bring your rubber gloves, flashlight, or glow stick, and sing along as you get in touch again with your inner transvestite. Prop bags will be available for purchase so that Rocky Horror virgins can participate in all the rituals while the shadow cast ratchets up the humor and debauchery. This cult classic is more than a movie. It’s all about audience participation.

My Girl

Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 7:30 pm

Join us for the 30th anniversary showing of the classic coming-of-age movie, My Girl, filmed right here in Historic Downtown Sanford. Eleven-year-old tomboy Vada (Anna Chlumsky) has good reason to be morbid: her mother died giving birth to her, her father (Dan Aykroyd) who operates a funeral service out of their home has a new hippie girlfriend (Jamie Lee Curtis), the other kids think she's a freak, her best friend (Macaulay Culkin), is a boy, and she is desperately in love with Mr. Bixler, her English teacher. Don’t miss this charming American comedy-drama of love and loss.

The Ritz Theater invites children ages 1-100 to enjoy the spirit of the holiday season with The Grinch That Stole Christmas, the 2000 American fantasy comedy film directed by Ron Howard and written by Jeffrey Price and Peter S. Seaman. Based on Dr. Seuss's 1957 book of the same name, Jim Carrey brings to life the green one as he learns the true meaning of the season from the Whos of Whoville.

Movie goers are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped gift to help make the holidays better for other Seminole County children. There is no cost for reserved tickets. All children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Upper-crust executive Louis Winthorpe III (Dan Aykroyd) and down-and-out hustler Billy Ray Valentine (Eddie Murphy) are the subjects of a bet by successful brokers Mortimer (Don Ameche) and Randolph Duke (Ralph Bellamy). An employee of the Dukes, Winthorpe is framed by the brothers for a crime he didn't commit, with the siblings then installing the street-smart Valentine in his position. When Winthorpe and Valentine uncover the scheme, they set out to turn the tables on the Dukes.
